FIRST ALBUM with new guitar super hero Tommy Bolin. After losing bedrock Joe Walsh they had recruited Canadian Dominic Troiano who had left to join the Guess Who but Bolin was a more than adequate replacement adding to the bands exceptional ability to find and recruit the best up and coming guitarist in the business. Bolin's contributions are all encompassing from simply providing breathtaking guitar work to supplying great songs. Lead track 'Standing In The Rain' and 'Ride The Wind' are prime examples of his penchant for slightly left of center hard rock with unique melodies and great arrangements. Best track? I think that accoldade must belong to 'The Devil Is Singing Our Song', a slinky yet heavy track working the same grooves as Derringer and Moxy. In fact, listening to this you can definitely hear the link with 'Come Taste The Band' era Deep Purple.
This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Vinyl: Nice clean condition. No spindle marks and virtually no signs of use. Grades as MINT-!
Cover: Virtually no signs of use. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear and no creases. Spine is perfectly straight, square and uncrushed - just light rubbing to the bottom corner edge and sun lighthing to spine. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 43 years after release. Grades as top MINT-!
