ITEM: Very scarce Folk LP Record, mentioned in Acid Archives. Recorded at the Chelsea House Cafe and Folklore Center, Vermont, in 1975. Private pressing on Chelsea House Records label, catalog number CHR 2001. Very limited number of LP's were produced. "Let's EAT again real soon" is etched into the trail-off dead wax on Side Two. Very rare ( most were thrown out ) original insert/lyric sheet is included.
COMMENTS/CONDITION: Delightful vintage recording of Folklore performed by Hippie members of a rural Vermont collective. Truly an enjoyable, one of a kind album.
This is NOT a cutout or record club issue. There are no punch holes, saw cut notches, or clipped corners. Vinyl is in strong VG condition with no warps, cracks, or excessive groove wear. There are numerous small scuffs and light scratches that produce audible clicks on some of the tracks on both sides. These do not overpower the music, and both sides played through with no skips or groove lock on my system. These comments regarding playback quality are for reference only. They are NOT a statement of the performance you will experience on your equipment.
Labels are in very good condition. There are no tears, peeling corners, stickers, writing, or stains.
The insert/lyric sheet is in surprisingly good condition. There are no tears, holes, missing pieces, or burn spots, but there are light crease marks on 2 sides. Usually, if the inserts have not been discarded, they are in poor condition with rips, folds, writing, stains, or "cigarette" burn spots.
The textured cardboard jacket has slight ring wear and rubbing from handling and storage. The top seam is cleanly split, but has NOT been screwed up by someone trying to repair it with cheap tape. There are no stickers, price tags, writing, or other tears. Back panel has a very cool collection of vintage photos of the group.
