Description

A rare original 1968 Studio 1 recording of Jackie Mittoo c/w Bases.

Side One:- Jackie Mittoo - Race Track (SO 2056-A)

Side Two:- Bases - I Don't Mind (SO 2056-B)

"Race Track" is instrumental, "I Don't Mind" has vocals.

The vinyl grades Good + with plenty of scuffs and hairlines. Play testing is better - yes, there is crackle and ticks but the music comes through vibrantly (terrific trombone work, Vin Gordon?). The disc plays through both sides without sticks nor jumps. There is writing and general wear on both sides of the labels (please see photos). Sleeve is white replacement.

A far cry from mint condition then but at the end of the day it remains an original 1968 recording from the so influential Studio 1 label! Very collectable but very rare...

For your information the gradings I use are as follows:-

Mint (M) - Brand New (Sealed)

Near mint (NM) - Looks almost unplayed * Cover almost brand new  

Excellent (EX) - Maybe a light scuff but otherwise great condition * Cover will have some wear/slight crease/faint ring wear etc     

Very good (VG) - Could have scuffing and some light scratches etc *Cover might have some creasing/fading/ring wear/marks or writing but still reasonable condition 

Good (G)  - Should play through ok but will have plenty of scratches etc * Cover could be ripped/stained/unglued etc

Fair - Very ordinary/ Might play but most likely just for the collection* Cover will be pretty terrible.
