Description

You are bidding for a CLASSIC US 50'S ROCK 'N' ROLL/ BLUES 78 RPM single by JACKIE BRENSTON AND HIS DELTA CATS called LEO THE LOUSE backed with HI HO BABY by JACKIE BRENSTON AND EDNA MCRANEY issued on the CHESS record label in the US in 1954, cat number 1496 (NAVY AND WHITE LABEL). The record is in excellent condition with excellent labels ( there is a sticker tear on one side) .The record has slight obvious wear with surface scuffs and scratches but plays with no jumps and clicks and a minimum of surface noise. CLASSIC US R& B/ ROCK AND ROLL from JACKIE BRENSTON who had a big hit with ROCKET 88 often called the first R 'N' R record with two great rocking tracks from one of the R 'N' R / BLUES PIONEERS who was to have such an influence on the BLUES AND ROCK SCENE . . A little piece of recording history... RARE in decent condition, from my own collection.

RE: POSTAGE AND PACKING COSTS.

I will post world wide;

UK rates…...... (single record plus P&P) Royal Mail 1st class recorded delivery.........£3.50.

All Europe .......(single record plus P&P) Royal Mail Airmail small packet………......... £4.50

America…........(single record plus P&P) Royal Mail Airmail small packet…...............£7.50

Asia, Australia..(single record plus P&P) Royal Mail Airmail small packet…................£8.50

Signed For (trackable and insured); Europe, Americas, Asia add ..£4.00

For more than one item contact seller for combined post and packaging discounts.

10" 78 RPM RECORDS NEED CAREFULLY PACKING, PACKED BETWEEN 1" THICK POLYSTYRENE SLABS, WRAPPED IN BUBBLE WRAP WITH CARDBOARD STIFFENERS WHICH IS THEN BOXED, THIS IS A FRAGILE 78 AND REQUIRES STRONG PACKAGING TO ENSURE SAFE DELIVERY.

USUALLY FOR MAILING OVERSEAS, I RECOMMEND NO MORE THAN 5 IN A BOX, OTHERWISE IT GOES OVER THE AIRMAIL SMALL PACKET MAXIMUM WEIGHT OF 2Kgs WHICH CAUSES A LARGE HIKE IN POSTAL RATES.

IF A RECORD ARRIVES CRACKED OR BROKEN DESPITE MY BEST EFFORTS I WILL REFUND THE MONEY IN FULL. - JUST SEND ME A QUICK SCAN - IF IT IS A VERY RARE RECORD I WILL ASK YOU TO SEND IT BACK OTHERWISE IT WILL BE YOURS TO KEEP OR DISPOSE OF.

BUYERS COMBINING SEVERAL ITEMS WILL GET A REBATE. (Please wait for my invoice before paying so that I can give you the right discount because the eBay system has no facility for doing this automatically)
