PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER).  OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.


OFF-THE-CHARTS RARE first pressing of Blanche's debut 7" on Cass Records from 2003 (it was reissued the same year but on green vinyl) with Superstition on the B-side featuring vocals and production work by future Raconteur Brendan Benson and a guitar solo by Jack White on the A-side!!!  Vinyl is a gorgeous near mint minus.  Sleeve is a beautiful VG++/NM-.  What makes this particular copy a million times more unique is the fact that it has been signed by every member of the band on the front cover INCLUDING Jack White and comes with the original invitation to the record release show at the Lager House at 1254 Michigan Avenue in Detroit on Saturday, September 27th, 2003 at 9:00 PM!  Auction also includes a business card from Cass Records owner and Third Man Records co-founder/co-owner Ben Blackwell with 3424 Bishop address in Detroit!  Auction also includes a ticket stub for a Blanche performance sponsored by Budweiser on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at St. Andrew's Hall at 431 E. Congress in Detroit!  Anyone that follows my auctions knows I own some White Stripes/Jack White items to die for but this 45 is one of the rarest in my collection as Jack almost never signed records outside of his main projects (White Stripes, Raconteurs, Dead Weather, Jack White solo).  I collected The White Stripes voraciously in the 2000s and this is the ONLY record that Jack guested on that I have EVER seen signed by him.  Considering how many releases he engineered/played on/produced early in his career (Thee Jenerators, Electric Six, Soledad Brothers, The Hentchmen, Two Star Tabernacle, Whirlwind Heat, The Go, the list goes on) it's astounding that another one with his signature hasn't surfaced.  Consider Jack's place in the annals of music, on par with The Edge and Jimmy Page.  Now consider what a Jimmy Page-signed 45 by The First Gear, Manish Boys or Them would be valued at and you have some idea as to what the future holds for a rarity of this magnitude.  A stunning piece of early Jack White Stripes history.  Most likely the only one in existence.  I've owned this 45 for over 20 years and it is easily one of the crown jewels in my Jack White Stripes collection.  A massive current and future collectable.  Good luck finding another one.
