Description
Original pressing of self-released album by undergrounds NYC hip-hop figure J-Live. No label. No barcode. No official release date, but I bought in in year 2000.
This album is legend - productions by DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Prince Paul and 88 Keys, and an MC with an astonishing talent, but an underground NYC style that never got commercial airplay.
DJ Premier used J-Live's single "Braggin Writes" as the lead-off track on his mix "New York Reality Check 101".
Record was subsequently released on a label. The wikipedia entry has the full production credits.
Sleeve is in excellent shape, as is the vinyl. See images for reference.
Like the rest of my records (almost exclusively hip hop from between 1989-2001), this one has been carefully stored and left un-played for twenty years.
I am selling off my collection now to pay my son's college tuition bill. Please see my other auctions if that era of hip-hop is interesting to you.
