"J CHURCH - Seven Inches Of Shitty Music: The Nearly Complete 7-Inch Releases" (Test Pressing) Collected Trade Paperback
This is the only existing copy of this unpublished book in collected trade paperback. Another 2-volume version test was printed in hardcover and softcover, but this is the only collected edition paperback. It was printed in 2020 and has been carefully stored.
The book is an exhaustive documentation of J Church's 7-inch releases (singles, split singles, EPs, box sets, and a couple of test pressing I was fortunate enough to acquire) with images of the front and back covers, inserts (if any) and both sides of the records themselves. Where multiple variations of the same record exist they are also depicted in detail. Although this is an incomplete compilation of every J Church 7-Inch that was ever released, it is as complete as was likely possible at the time of printing.
Clocking in at 411 pages, this is a massive compendium.
The material in this volume was also test printed in a 2-volume set in wraparound hardcover, and 2-volume trade paperback, and those are also available on eBay.
The book was never published, because I was unable to find a proper contact for Lance Hahn's estate, so the project currently remains abandoned.
Someday a new, revised edition may find its way to publication - perhaps as an unauthorized edition.
