Mega Rare Israeli Beatles LP The Beatles Greatest Original very first pressing! Apple OMHS 3001 Also known as: old faces cover, president cover, when I'm 64 cover
This is a mega rare original first Israeli pressing of the fantastic Beatles collection album - Beatles' Greatest. It was issued in 1970 with the beautiful "Old Faces" drawn picture cover and it's unique to Israel Only! No other place in the world used this picture for a Beatles cover! Please notice two important facts:
1. Only the original first pressing of this album was published with a BOLD and CLEAR drawing (later Israeli issues, Parlophone & Portrait, were published with a much more dimmed and ugly photocopy picture).
2. The song "All My Loving" has a different begining with the rare "Hi-Hat Count-In Intro".
Believe me, it's not an easy task to find this original first pressing and usually you can find on Ebay only the later issues. Finding this original first pressing in nice condition is so amazingly rare and almost impossible nowadays. This copy is one of the nicest I have ever had or seen! Please look at the pictures for song list.
Condition:
Cover: The laminated cover is EX++. The lamination is nice, the mouth is nice and the spines are nice. It's a nice and clean cover. Very white! Please look at the pictures, they tell all the story.
Record: The record looks EX+ to NM! The Apple labels are in nice condition. The record comes with a nice original Israeli EMI nylon inner sleeve.
