Description

*I am currently selling a collection of Heavy Metal and rock LPs, predominantly from the late 70’s to the early 90’s but with the odd outlier thrown in. All well looked after and some real rarities. I combine shipping and always remove the vinyl from the sleeve before packing and posting. Where anything other than a generic white inner is present, the vinyl is always placed in a brand new white inner to preserve the original. Brand new ‘clear glass’ plastic sleeves are added to all LPs. I describe items accurately as I know how disappointing it is to receive a much anticipated record where flaws have been glossed over or gone unmentioned. I try to listen to each record before describing it but if I don’t have time I will listen to selected parts to gauge the level of background noise and I will always listen to any passages where there are surface marks to judge the impact these have. I always give positive feedback after payment so the customer is able to give feedback purely judged on the service once they have received the item. If you are unhappy in any way I will refund with no questions asked. Thank you for your interest in this listing and please check out my other records.*

Iron Maiden

Piece of Mind

EMI Portugal 1983

This is from the Portuguese first pressings, one of a handful that got through the production process with the original title of ‘Dune’ for the final song on Side B.

The generally accepted turn of events is that ‘Dune’ was always the intended name for the song, but Frank Herbert - the author of the book about which the song was written - refused to allow Maiden to use the title, stating that he didn’t like rock bands and especially not bands like Iron Maiden!

Therefore the title was changed to ‘To Tame a Land’ but not before some pressings slipped through the net. This copy has the title of Dune on both the back of the sleeve and also on the label where the song time is also incorrectly printed as 7.37 instead of 7.26!

These copies are understandably sought after by collectors and don’t often emerge on eBay.

A great opportunity to add a copy to your collection!

This copy has the added bonus of being in Mint, seemingly unplayed condition (I have played it through and there is no interference whatsoever - a great copy and another fantastic piece of engineering by the recently departed Martin Birch RIP).

Whereas the vinyl is Mint, the sleeve does have some storage and handling wear and grades as VG+
