Description

Hello, up for sale is a great album - The Best of Iron Butterfly "Evolution."  Contains all the group's classic hits, inlcuding the short version of In-a-gadda-da-vida.  But, best of all, not only is this a white label promo, it is in the extremely rare mono format.  This album was never issued commercially in mono, as mono records had been completely phased out when this was issued in 1971.  The album exists in the mono format only because a very, very few copies were printed for disribution to radio stations.  The album has the correct Atco mono label prefix of 33-369 (stereo albums have a prefix of SD 33-369).  The cover lists the album as a stereo (mono covers were not made for this album), but with a orange sticker identifying the album inside as a dj/monaural printing.  The cover is in fantastic shape - I will call it Near Mint, but many would say Mint.  The graphics are bright, the corners are sharp, no writing, no marks.  The vinyl rates somewhere between VG+++ and Near Mint.  The white label is clean, with no spindle marks and no writing; the vinyl itself has strong luster with only a few wispy stray marks that do not affect play.  I play-grade all of my albums (I am a collector, not a dealer) and the album plays clean, without only the very rare occasional pop or crackle.  I store all of my vinyl inside of a special plastic-lined inner sleeve, so as to best protect the vinyl, which is then placed inside of a separate outer cardboard cover to better protect the vinyl and the original cover.  I also store the original cover inside of its own plastic outer envelope.  The winning bidder will receive all of this with the purchase.  Bid with confidence on this great, extremely rare item as I have 100% feedback in over 7 years on ebay and I offer a full 3-day money back refund (less shipping cost) if you are not completely satisfied.  Mailing, with required insurance (protects us both), will be $10 in the U.S; $35 for international shipping.  Thanks for looking and good luck!
