This version corresponds to VJ 1062 (1).MR2 (record) and VJ 1062 (1).MC3 (cover) per Bruce Spizer's guide.

Sleeve/jacket has column back with song titles and has 1/4 inch flaps inside the sleeve at the top and bottom.
Record has colorband and has the oval logo. It also has the less-common, smaller 45-sized labels.
Has the Beatles name above the spindle hole.

Side 1: AudioMatrix (stamped) / 6-29-63/ ? (triangle) / 5702 / MR stamp in a circle
Side 2: 63-3403/ MR stamp in a circle / ? (triangle) -5702-X / SM

Released on the Vee-Jay/VJ label. Catalog number VJLP 1062.

CONDITION:
(All records graded visually unless otherwise noted. Grading scale is listed in detail below the record and jacket/sleeve ratings).

Record: G+ to VG : Plays all the way through without skipping. Has a number of scuffs and scratches.
There is background noise throughout which is particularly noticeable in quieter sections. LISTEN BELOW

Jacket/sleeve: G+ to VG : Has wear and scuffing, fraying and partial splits on seams (most noticeable on the bottom) and has name with date written on the back.

Note that what sounds like a skip near the beginning of "There's A Place" is actually a sloppy edit which apparently exists on the master take of the song (I checked, and it appears that way on all my Beatles Please Please Me CD's and on the US Rarities LP).

GRADING SCALE:
Mint (Mint) - Absolutely Perfect - no visible flaws of any kind. No background noise whatsoever.
Records of this condition do not exist. In over 35 years of collectiing iI have never owned a record (even when brand new) which did not have
some sort of minor noise or tiny visible flaw. I do not grade anything as being in mint condition.

NM (Near Mint) - Close to perfect, with maybe one or two barely noticeable flaws.
Record may have some very minor noise due to the pressing or due to bits of dust.
I rarely grade anything this high.

VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus) - Close to near mint.

Record may have a few very light surface scuffs which should not be audible.
May have some very minor noise due to the pressing or due to bits of dust.
May have a light warp which does not affect play.

Sleeve may have some very light wear.

VG+ (Very Good Plus)
Record may have some light scratches/scuffs which cannot be felt with a fingernail.
It may have some surface noise, but it should not be too noticeable except in quiet sections.
May have a light warp which does not affect play.

Sleeve may have some light ring wear and some other light scuffing/wear, possibly a few creases
and/or a small amount of fraying in one or two corners.

VG (Very Good)
Record liable to have more noticeable noise than a VG+ record but shouldn't be too distracting.
Record may one or two small scratches which can be felt with a fingernail - these will probably cause some pops or clicks.
May also have some lighter scratches and/or a little visible groove wear. Record will not skip.
May have a light warp which does not affect play.

Sleeve will have noticeable wear and may be a bit frayed around the edges, possibly one or two partial splits on the seams.

G (Good)
Record will have more than one or two small scratches or possibly one longer scratch which can be felt with a fingernail.
In addition may have light scratches and possibly some groove wear.
It will probably have noticeable noise which may be distracting in places, but will not skip.
May have a light warp which does not affect play.

Sleeve may have a good deal of wear and large splits on seams.

(ADDITIONAL NOTES: Defects such as writing, cut corners, etc... will be noted next to grade of record/sleeve above. Any records with grades other than Near Mint may also have a very slight warp which does not affect play)
