Color and Graphics are BEAUTIFUL! The front has slight handling but NO Rrng wear! The Spine is intact and centered with the slight wear to the name Beatles and the print folds to the back slick at the bottom of the lettering yet fully readable. There is a 1" seam separation at the bottom opening. The really INTERESTING thing about the cover is that the Back Slick is UPSIDE DOWN! Thats right, the back slick is centered and upside down, that is what makes this Very Rare MONO Pressing and 1/1. This is the "Ask Me Why - Please, Please Me" back with light handling wear. The # "2" is printed next to the VEE-JAY RECORDS in what would normally be the lower right corner.
As for the Inner Sleeve it is original to the LP.
Labels: NM
First, there are NO readily visible Splindle marks on either side of the label, side 1 and 2 both hold very little in the way of marks giving me the impression that this record has not been played more then a handful of times if that. The Spindle hole itself is in amazing condition on both sides with NO label tears. Being a paper label it truly is hard to find this pressing without the paper around the hole all ripped and tattered. The Small Bracketed VJ logo is centered on both labels with the words "VEE-JAY" beneath said logo. This is the hard to find misprint - side 1 song 4. "Chains" It reads (Coffin-King) when it should read (Goffing-King). Both label sides also have "Longplaying" and "Microgroove". The Print on both sides is also in remarkable condition, bright & clean - undisturbed.
Notes:
Ok, here we go, this is by far the RAREST USA Mono release of Introducing The Beatles. I know, I know, it is version 2, Black label with Silver print - released Feb, 10, 1964 with the SMALL VJ Brackets manufactured by: Southern Plastics, that makes it the Rarest, but this one is a 1/1 in the the Back Slick IS UPSIDE DOWN!!! Finally, the package includes Album Cover - Vinyl Record and Inner Sleeve.
Grading is done visually unless noted.
