Introducing Milli Vernon - Storyville LP # STLP 910
Featuring: Ruby Braff-trumpet; Dave McKenna-Piano; Wyatt Reuther-Bass; Jimmy Raney-Guitar; Jo Jones-Drums
THE DISC - Side One has scuffs and relatively light scratches; Side Two also has scuffs, some fine hairline scratches, and a scratch zig zagging across a good part of the side. I just gave that side a listen, and it did not skip whatsoever, and really was not ruinous in my opinion: the record is absolutely playable and enjoyable, in my opinion. There were some pop sounds, but not overpowering, the sound of the record is good and strong an not masked with any hiss such as you get with a record that is too far gone. I believe this would rate as "Good' appearance-wise, maybe a bit better in sound. The labels are fresh looking with no real flaws.
THE JACKET- Front: There is considerable soiling/wear, such that the sheen has been rubbed to a matte finish on "peaks." There is a stain at far left, middle, which may be a bit darker in person than the photo suggests. Right had corners are a bit rounded from wear; the spine is fully in tact; Back: the paper has some soiling and yellowing from age, perhaps a little less than photo suggests; original price written fainly in pencil at upper right; a previous owner's name has been rubber stamped twice, otherwise no defacements. Top spine is separated about halfway across the top (the portion away from the spine), and bottom spine has maybe 2" of separation in the middle, and about 1/4' to 1/2" of wear near sleeve.
