Description

For auction today: An RCA in-house "gold" single presentation award for Elvis Presley's 1969 release "Suspicious Minds". Presented to Dick Carter in 1971 by RCA. Dick Carter was vice president of field marketing at RCA.
The award measures aprox. 38 x 28 cms. and the focal point, is the
gold-coloured single disc, which is mounted above a plaque. The plaque at the bottom reads in full: PRESENTED TO DICK CARTER IN GRATEFUL RECOGNITION FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS SALES IN EXCESS OF ONE MILLION UNITS. August 1971. RCA RECORDS.

The body of the award is made out of solid wood and has a few scratches and scuffs on the rear, mainly to lower half. See photo. Front has 1 small scratch near bottom edge but that's about it.The gold of the disc and label and laurel-motifs have some light signs of age consistent with nearly 50 years of time that's passed. Nothing major.

Winning bidder will recieve a stock copy of this single, pressed in USA and housed in the picture sleeve as was, when first released. See photos.

I will do my best to answer any questions about this item and send more photos of item via email, if you request it.I cannot debit your credit card directly (no merchant facilities) but we accept all other forms of payment.
