ITEM FOR SALE

Here's a terrific selection of US Rockabilly, these records were originally imported from US through my local record shop and formed part of the music store stock. These and others I have listed were unsold back in the 80's, when the store closed. Mmost of the sleeves are plain white and pretty grubby, but the records themselves are in superb condition, most have never been played. Werly Fairburn

Werly was an American rockabilly musician Werley’s style blended elements of country, blues, and New Orleans-style R&B. As rockabilly became more popular, he adapted to the style, and remained a regional favorite. He continued to perform after moving to California in the 1960s, Werly died of lung cancer in 1985.

This his first recording was a huge hit on Speciality Records in 1952, and although Lloyd continued to turn out records, none were as popular until several years later, when he refined the New Orleans beat and achieved a series of national hits. He was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

Sleeve is always graded first, any inserts are graded seperately. 45rpm singles are graded as a & b sides, sleeves are not graded (unless otherwise stated) but are deemed to be in a reasonable condition as seen from photograph.
