This record was part of my father’s vast, personal collection, Jay Monroe Sr. This record has been extremely well cared for and stored properly. My father collected records for over 60 years amassing thousands of records on labels such as Sun, Chess, Checker, Duke, Excello, Imperial, Meteor, Modern and RPM to name a few. He also collected obscure labels and pre and post war records. His focus was 50’s blues, R&B/Soul and Rockabilly but extended into Country, Gospel, Vocal and Jazz. I am not a record flipper, I’m trying to do right by my father and his life’s work. I am auctioning his collection, and his only, so others can appreciate 60+ years of work tracking down these rare records in the best possible conditions. PLEASE NOTE: no matter how clean the vinyl is, these are 60+ year-old records. They may play with some soft surface noise. Buy with this in mind.

New: (M- The top pieces in this collection I rarely list online. Extremely hard to find anywhere).

E+ (78) Plays like new, with very, very few signs of handling, such as tiny scuffs from being slipped in and out of jackets. There are store stock records in this collection which will be in description.

E  (78) Still very shiny, near new looking, with minor signs of wear, a few inaudible scuffs and/or minor label imperfection as noted in description.

E- (78)  Still shiny but without the lustre of a new record and/or more scuffs or a light scratch not affecting playback.

V+ (78) an average condition 78 in which scuffs and general use has dulled the finish somewhat. Wear is moderate but playing is generally free from

distortion. Surface noise not overly pronounced.

V (78)  Moderate, even wear throughout, but still very playable. Surface noise and scratches audible but not intrusive.

V- (78) Quite playable still, but distortion and heavy graying in loud passages. Music remains loud in most passages. Surface noise and scratches well below music level.

G+ (78). Grey throughout but still serviceable. Music begins to sound muffled. Heavy scratches.

G (78). Quite seriously worn and scratched, but music level is still higher than surface noise.
