Description
"I'm Jimmy Reed", 1957 debut album from influential blues singer and guitarist, Jimmy Reed. This is an original US-pressed Vee-Jay LP, and it is in extremely good condition for its age. The label is a little mottled in appearance, but there are no discernible spindle marks. The vinyl bears a mark on the run-in groove (see third photo), but fortunately this does not affect playback in any way. Apart from this blemish, the vinyl is remarkably clean and glossy - I have processed it through my record cleaning machine and given it a fresh, Nagaoka sleeve to keep it pristine. This assessment is born out when one plays the record - the vinyl is excellent, with few pops or crackles, and no scratches. What's more, the sound is surprisingly clear, with good stereo spread and instrumental separation. The thick flipback sleeve is in remarkably good condition, with only a few patches of minor wear. The edges are completely solid, for example.
I'm offering FREE POSTAGE to the UK, no reserve and a very sensible start price on this and all my vinyl records. International bidders will pay a flat rate postage amount for insured AirMail. It will come in a high grade mailer, with further internal packaging to protect the sleeve. I'll be slowly selling off a large collection of rock, jazz (several Mosaic sets) and classical (including some SXL ED-1/2/3s) over the next few months, so please come back to my auctions. Thanks for looking, and best of luck with your bidding.
