Iggy Pop - New Values original 1978 Kendun cut acetate 2 disc set
It doesn’t get much rarer than acetates such as these. Typically, no more than five to ten copies are cut at the mastering facility. To my knowledge, no New Values acetates have ever been offered for sale, anywhere, by anyone. The labels are clean, and the period piece Kendun sleeve is ultra cool. This came from James Williamson’s personal collection. There’s a very good chance that this is the only surviving copy.
Disc one/ side one has a few issues; there’s a skip at the beginning of the side, and two ugly scratches on ‘Endless Sea’. Surprisingly, they aren’t as noisy as I was expecting, but they are certainly audible and there’s a skip at the end of the song. However, this set is far more rare artifact than something that you’re gonna want to play.
Disc two/ side two is very clean. Some light surface noise, which is completely understandable for a limited life acetate.
All records are shipped safely in proper mailers with cardboard stiffeners. I remove the LP from the cover for safe shipment. Fifty cents each additional item (please wait for the invoice!)
