Original laminated sleeve, die-cut on the back for Mono/Stereo identification.

Original Decca/Deram blue stereo bordered inner sleeve.

First recording to feature guitarist Allan Holdsworth.

CONDITION:        I strive to provide an accurate and honest appraisal of condition.  It’s in my best interests to do so.  I WANT YOU TO COME BACK.    All records are checked in good light and play tested at a loud volume (unless described as sealed, brand new or stated otherwise).

   Playing condition of vinyl is VG++/EX-  for side1  Some background crackle and surface noise is evident during the quiet moments, but NOT all of them.  There are a lot of quiet sections on side1 and most play really well WITHOUT being drowned out by interference.    Doesn’t sound like the record has been played that much.   NO loud pops.  NO loud obtrusive crackle.  NO distortion.  NO jumps.  NO sticking.     Only minor background surface noise evident in places.   HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!!!!     Superb sound reproduction.    Buyer will not be disappointed.

It’s a similar story on side2, but not as good as the first side, so overall grading is VG/VG+.    More noticeable pops during the quiet parts of the first two tracks.  Sound quality dramatically improves throughout the rest of side2 to mirror the condition description of side1, going as far as to be described as EX.       NO distortion.  NO jumps.  NO sticking.     HARD TO FIND IN THIS CONDITION!!!!      

Visually the vinyl has NO visible scratch marks!!!  Looks hardly played!!!   It does, however, have some marking caused by its poly lined inner paper bag.  A result of the record being kept in its inner sleeve for very long periods of time.  If it wasn’t for these marks record would be visually NrMINT.  These marks have no additional impact on play apart from what is described above.   Additional plastic only inner sleeve will be included in the sale for buyer to use, if they so wish.

Labels easily in EX condition.  Still nice and neat.  Some spindle type marks on side 1.  Next to none on flip side.   NO stickers.  NO sticker marks.  NO tears.  NO writing.

For a 40+ year old album, outer cover has survived remarkably well.  Some creasing to the laminate on the front.  Some shelf wear to the edges and corners.  A little feathering to the opening edge.  Spine text still easily readable.  Back of sleeve is a little grubby in places and some ring wear along the top and bottom.  Overall VG-/VG.   NO seam splits.   NO stickers.   NO sticker marks.   NO writing!!!   PLEASE SEE PHOTOS at bottom of page for a better look at sleeve condition.

Original inner sleeve showing signs of age, a little discolouration, creasing – nothing severe.   NO rips or tears.

MINT The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint

EXCELLENT (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG) The record has obviously been played many times but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratches. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable

GOOD (G) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeable deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and or deface

POOR (P) The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

BAD (B) The record is unplayable or might even be broken and is only of use as a collection filler
