Description
Another mega rare Stone Roses Ian Brown item.
This is an official Polydor produced limited edition screen print from 1999 of the Golden Greats album sleeve original painting - not to be confused with the usual rubbish put up on E Bay.
It is numbered 32 of 300 in pencil, and signed by the artist who painted the painting for the "Golden Greats" album, Ian Wright (his signature is also in pencil).
The artist produced these prints himself for Polydor Records, so the quality is fantastic. Screen print on thick art board.
Additionally, Ian Brown himself has signed it! "To Steve, Love from Ian Brown"
The "Steve" was Steve Lowes, Ian's manager at Retaliate First Management, which is where I bought this item from when their offices closed.
Additionally, I have a letter of authenticity on Retaliate First Management coloured headed paper confirming this is the genuine article.
THIS IS RARE AS ANYTHING! THERE WERE ONLY 300, BUT HOW MANY WERE SIGNED BY IAN BROWN AS WELL AS THE ARTIST? AND HOW MANY HAVE REACHED THE OPEN MARKET?
The print measures 59.5cm x 40cm, it's a high quality screen print (NOT a poster) on thick art board.
As you can see from the photo, it is currently mounted in a wooden frame with glass and green surround. THE FRAME IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE - IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE TO SHIP SAFELY WITHOUT SPENDING A FORTUNE! However, if the winning bidder wants the frame, glass & surround, you can have it for an additional £20 as long as you collect the item from Essex/Suffolk borders (10 mins from Ipswich & Colchester). It's up to you.
To be honest, although I will package it very well, if was the lucky winner, I'd like to collect it myself anyway, even without the frame.
On that basis, I have not included shipping costs. I'll discuss that with the lucky winner. BUT PLEASE NOTE BEFORE YOU BID - ALL POSTAGE & PACKING COSTS ARE TO BE PAID BY THE BUYER.
