Description

I-ROY Cancer Dub (Virgin Front Line FLX 4001) RARE UK 1st Pressing MINT-
RARE original UK first pressing of the acclaimed dub reggae album by I-Roy, "Cancer Dub" on Virgin Front Line Records (1979).
Currently unavailable anywhere on CD, I-Roy`s seriously dubbed-out masterpiece "Cancer Dub" includes the killer horns dub track "Bubblin`Jug", his version of the Freddie McKay classic "Set The Captives Free". Apparently, "Bubblin`Jug" and the Freddie McKay vocal were run on dubplate by Jah Shaka back in the day.
GRADING:
EX++ to MINT- COVER. In overall very fine condition. Please see photos for details.
- Unlaminated UK first-pressing sleeve.
- Minor corner scuff (at bottom right).
- Tiny paper tear to front sleeve (at top center).

MINT- RECORD that looks barely played. In near-perfect condition!
- Play-graded MINT- with impeccable audio reproduction.
- A few superficial hairlines from sleeve removal only, visible only under bright light.
- Original first pressing yellow Virgin Records Front Line labels, with light spindle lines.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "FLX 4001 A-1 Porky" and "FLX 4001 B-1 Pecko", respectively.
- This record is certified to be a very first UK pressing of "Cancer Dub".
PLEASE NOTE: Definitely a final upgrade copy for the I-Roy collector, this copy of "Cancer Dub" can`t be compared with the more-often-than-not substandard vinyl on offer on eBay UK.
Honestly-graded EX++ to MINT-, this record is near-impossible to find in such condition - especially at this bargain price: "True value for money" is the motto here!
