Word has it that none other than Duane Allman played guitar on the sessions for this album. This, however, remains unverified and we remain highly skeptical: Duane Allman died in 1971 and this album was (mostly) recorded during 1972. Nevertheless, we report - you decide ™.

It is a crying shame that the very finest voice of New Orleans R&B - Irma Thomas -only made a handful of 'proper' albums in the course of her career. This, her third, came after she already had a full decade worth of career under her belt. The "rap" monologue on "Coming from behind" is truly one of the first raps on record - proving, once more, that women can be revolutionary artists.
