This album really oughta be called "Inez and Charlie Foxx" because it's very much her and her brother having fun together in song after fun, upbeat, faintly doo-wop-ish R&B. The title song, "Mockingbird" was a big hit, and most of their songs are a riff on that kind of sound. They wrote almost all the songs themselves. This album usually had a different cover, but this outlier, released very soon after the first pressing, was on Sue Records (instead of the original Symbol Records.) We prefer this cover, for what it's worth. This is a pretty rare LP, and our copy is in VG+ condition.
We play tested this. The LP is glossy and looks clean--no scratches or any marks or stuff like that--but to the practiced eye, you can tell it's older and has been played a bit. There is slight "Rice Crispies" snap-crackle-pop between songs. It is very quiet and doesn't intrude into the music, where you hear only an occasional soft pop. No scratches, no skips, overall a great listen with no problems. The jacket looks great on the front; the front is VG+ with just slight corner wear, very clean. The back has peeling at the bottom, where the printed cover sheet has come up from the cardboard itself. More of a design flaw, I guess. The jacket IS very clean: no writing, stickers, smells, stains or anything like that. Spine is nice and legible.
