IDLE RACE S/T 1969 STEREO U.K. FIRST PRESSING IN SUPERB CONDITION.
CAT; LBS 83221
MATRIX; LBS 83221 A//1 B//1.
For those who don't know this is Jeff Lynnes' first group, pre E.L.O. & THE MOVE. The album is produced and arranged by Lynne and listening in my view you can definately hear pre-cursors to later E.L.O. songs.
This album rarely comes up for sale,
especially in this condition.
The original flimsy textured sleeve is in lovely condition for a 43 year old example, some edge & corner wear but minimal. The colouring is as bright as when it was printed front and back, no fading, no ringwear, no writing, a 1 mm scratch on rear but almost impossible to see and grades at VG+..
Labels are extra clean, barely any spindlewear, no spidering & no writing. Grades EX (easily)
Inner sleeve is flat and clean with no rips and only because of very slight darkening at sleeve opening grades at EX-.
Vinyl is superb, to the naked eye absolutely beautiful, under strong light a few hairlines but nothing feelable and nothing that affects play. VG++
Audio is great with barely any crackle, even in between tracks, no pops, clicks or jumps. I played this through on a rega 3 with linn k9 on a rb300 arm through Paradigm monitor 5's. Sounds beautiful.
This album rarely comes around and rarer still in this condition.
