Description

PLP 806A Japan 1983. Moanin' in the Moonlight is a primal, undiluted blast of musical force. It captures one of the most distinctive voices in American music at his peak, backed by a raw, hypnotic sound that would echo through generations of rock musicians. It's not just a blues album; it's a foundational text of modern popular music. Moanin' in the Moonlight is not just an album; it's a cornerstone of electric blues and one of the most powerful debut albums in music history. The album is packed with legendary blues standards: Smokestack Lightnin', Moanin' at Midnight, How Many More Years, Evil, Forty-Four. It is consistently ranked on lists of the greatest albums of all time, in 2023, it was selected for preservation in the United States National Recording Registry by the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant. The sleeve is in reasonable condition with some staining on the front and back. The vinyl is in good condition. This has not been be playtested. I'm not a professional record dealer so not sure how to grade etc but hopefully pictures do it justice.
