Description

No exageration. This is Howlin' Wolf's best early collection. It spans from his early Memphis days(1951) to his mid period with Chess(1959) Every song a gem. All killer and no filler.Forty-Four, Evil, Smokestack Lightnin', All Night Long, Moanin' At Midnight and it just gets better. He is backed on most songs by long time sidekick guitarist Hubert Sumlin. Vinyl is M-. Cover has small split in middle of bottom seam. Light ring wear on front, back cover almost flawless has tiny tear upper right  corner. Original Chess # 1540 mono copy.
