Description

No catalog number. I could not find this record listed in my copy of Jepsen Discography. The quartette includes McGhee, trumpet; Cecil Young, piano; Doles Dickens, bass, Boss-Juel Curtis, drums. 4 tracks as listed on the front cover (see scan). Track-"Sammy"- has unidentified vocal. Most likely recorded in NYC, no date listed. Fine jazz. Very rare. Cover: VG Paper sleeve jacket. This is ordinary paper, not heavy stock. There is a split on l edge. The sleeve opens at the top. Photo of McGhee on the front cover and a remarkable candid picture of McGhee with Jayne Mansfield on the back cover as photographed at the Newport Jazz Festival (see scans). Some aging. Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. A very small amount of light groove noise but essentially I would grade it close to new with no surface noise. Audibly checked.
