Description
Bob Hartman & His Orchestra play "Charley Cadet" on Broadway
1501.
This record is very unusual. It begins as the standard rendition of
Charley Cadet in a typical march-like tempo. Suddenly out of nowhere,
comes about the hottest Jazz trumpet solo you can imagine! Then
back to the standard Charley Cadet, followed by a red hot sax solo,
finally finishing back to standard fare.
On the reverse side, they play "Time On My Hands" with nice (not
hot) trumpet work. Frank Salerno sings the vocal refrain.
Both sides were recorded in Grafton Wisconsin in October of 1931.
The record is in excellent (E) condition and is in the original Broadway
sleeve.
