This auction concerns the sale of the following LP... The Horace Silver Quintet Doin' The Thing At The Village Gate Blue Note, BLP 4076 – Mono.  According to discogs this is a very early second pressing, 1962, release (Silver’s Tokyo Blues is not advertised).  43 West 61st St., New York 23 facility.  Condition:  Very Good.  FWIW, I purchased it at Princeton Record Exchange in the early 90’s - they rated it VG++ (and I have not played it more than once since).    A google search of the following will point you to the LP in discogs (links are not allowed on ebay): /The-Horace-Silver-Quintet-Doin-The-Thing-At-The-Village-Gate/release/11760487
Notes:  -   I have cleaned this LP using my VPI 16.5 record cleaning machine - it has a nice glossy sheen. -   Album is contained in a quality rice paper sleeve. -   I am packaging the record, top and bottom, with a protective (far more than cardboard) hard but light foam (poster board). -   The center label in the picture is behind a rice paper sleeve. -   I graded the LP after I cleaned it - it's easier to see any imperfections when it shines
My LP grading scale, based on visual inspection: Near Mint:  I purchased brand new and it has no more than one play - also has no visual flaws. Excellent:  very few imperfections - very close to Near Mint.  No visible scratches.  As an example, acceptable would be an extremely light/faint brush mark from taking the LP out of an original paper sleeve. Very Good:  faint light scratches are acceptable but not one deep scratch. Good:  one or more deep scratches. I don't grade the covers - the pics tell a better story than I can describe but please ask questions for any details.
