This is the scarce original Jamaican issue of Horace Andy's classic "In The Light Dub", the original Everton DaSilva produced vocals turned into a Dub masterpiece by King Jammy at the top of his game.

Only a small number of sleeves were printed for this release and like the majority of copies this one comes in the plain sleeve with hand written title, any original copy is scarce having been pressed in quite limited numbers thirty years ago.

Visually the vinyl is generally excellent, just a few feint scuffs and no scratches or major wear, the only negative is a few areas of pressing/stamper damage on the last track of each side, in both instances this causes some crackle near the end, but as stated this was how the record left the pressing plant and bad treatment.

Play Grading
1. Plays very well, minimal surface noise and just a hint of crackle.
2. Plays extremely well, minimal surface noise.
3. Plays well, just an occasional hint of crackle.
4. Plays well, very slight surface noise.
5. Plays well, slight surface noise and some minor crackle during the last minute.
6. Plays well, very slight surface noise.
7. Plays excellently, minimal surface noise.
8. Plays very well, just a touch of surface noise.
9. Plays excellently, just a little surface noise.
10. Plays well, very slight surface noise and some crackle towards the end.

The sleeve still has it's original Virgin Records price sticker dated 1.7.1980 and the majority of the shrink wrap that Virgin sold it in, there is some discolouration and staining along the edge where the shrink wasn't protecting the sleeve, but otherwise it is in nice condition with no splits or damage.

The A side label has some slight damage, this is how it left the pressing plant, otherwise both labels are very nice and very clean.

Records play graded on a Michell Orbe deck fitted with a Techno Arm and a Van Den Hul MC2 cartridge..Records professionally cleaned on a VPI record cleaner.
