HENRY THOMAS - RAGTIME TEXAS, Herwin 209, two LP's in gatefold jacket. Eight page booklet inside gatefold features an essay by Mack McCormick and transcriptions of the lyrics. 

This superb collection from Herwin features the complete recordings (1927-1929) of Henry Thomas (vocal, guitar, & pan pipes), whose music is completely original and unique. Includes "Bull Doze Blues" which was adapted by Canned Heat into their hit "Goin' Up the Country." The 23 sides were expertly mastered by the late Nick Perls.
The tunes are John Henry, Cottonfield Blues, Arkansas, The Fox and the Hounds, Red River Blues, The Little Red Caboose, Bob McKinney, Honey Won't You Allow Me One More Chance, Run Mollie Run, Shanty Blues, Woodhouse Blues, Jonah In the Wilderness, When the Train Comes Along, Bull Doze Blues, Don't Ease Me In, Texas Easy Street, Texas Worried Blues, Fishing Blues, Old Country Stomp, Charmin' Betsy, Lovin' Babe, Railroadin' Some, Don't Leave Me Here.    

Condition of records is E++, no scuffs, no scratches, no spindle marks, play clean and quiet. Jacket is very clean - no ring wear, no seam splits. Upper left corner is slightly crushed.

M = Mint. Brand new, unplayed. We never use the term "mint" to describe a used record, no matter how clean the record is.
E = Excellent. Some evidence of having been played, with no audible defect.
VG = Very Good. Noticeable wear, visual and audible. Records with slight surface noise and/or scuffs fall into this category.
G = Good. Not really all that good. Records in this category have more significant damage or wear.
F = More severe damage, distracting surface noise. Only used in incidence of extreme rarity.
P = Poor condition, proves existence of record only.
