Original 1970 White Label Promo issue on Enoch Light's Project 3 Total Sound Stereo Records of the self titled LP by Rock Island. I don't know anything about this group, or LP, other than it's scarcity. I can't find anything on the group, or release online, the only familiar name connected with it is Enoch Light as Exec Producer. This is the only copy I've ever seen in person, one other seller on ebay has a similar copy on ebay and I watched a a limited bootleg reissue go for twice this starting price last week. The music is a powerful jazzy bluesy psych with prog keyboard flourishes, at times heavy but with a Sunshine PopPsych harmonies edge in places, a really nice mixture and a worthy addition to any collector of Proressive Blues Psych. I would say the promo vinyl has had very few plays EX+/NM, the cover front and back are EX+, with no ringwear , the spine is Ex but unfortunately and bizarrely the top has a seam split along it's entire length and about 5"s along the bottom, in the middle but in a plastic sleeve it looks perfect.
