Grading Scale

USED RECORDS

M  … Record and cover are in excellent condition. No damage to either. This does not mean unplayed. It means it might have been played carefully on quality equipment. An audiophile's album. 
M- … Almost excellent. May have a few very light marks with very minimal cover damage.

VG+ .. Minor light scratches and maybe a very small scuff or two. Minor surface noise possible in between songs. Record still has a nice shine. Cover shows minor wear and possibly has light damage.

VG  .. Some light scratches and scuffs. Plays great but with some surface noise. Record starting to lose it's shine a little. Cover shows some wear. May have edge or corner bends. May have the start of a ring showing.
VG- ..Looks well used but taken care of, light to medium scratches, no gouges, still plays well, some surface noise. Cover may have a small seam split or two. Ring has formed, along with heavier edge wear and bends.

The following 2 categories won't be seen too often. I'll only post records in the following condition if they're rarities and hard to come across in any shape. Last chance collection fillers, or for someone who wants a higher dollar album, but can't afford a cleaner version. 
G+ .. Showing a lot of wear but will play ok. Record is looking pretty dull. G  ... Plays very rough with a lot of surface noise. Has multiple scratches. Not recommended for high end styli with light tracking.   SEALED RECORDS    A description of the cover will be made. The vinyl will be assumed to be in mint condition with the correct album in the jacket.   I CAN NOT be held responsible for ANY manufacturing errors or defects in regard to the vinyl contained in a sealed album. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS STATEMENT THEN DO NOT BID!!!!     All grading is visual only. Sorry, I don't have the system to play grade anything. I do have over 40 years experience working with vinyl so I've gotten pretty good at it. Remember that grading is highly subjective. Your particular interpretation may be higher or lower than mine.

I also do not knock the grade of the item down if it is a promo or record club item. On the average, these have always been more collectible for the simple fact that there are fewer of them than actual commercial releases.

Used UK import LP on Flicknife Records. (P SHARP-014) Original issue from 1983. 10 tracks.

Cover is plastic sleeve.

Vinyl looks VG+ to M- (sorry. it's really hard to get a read on picture vinyl).

 

Payment info

All payments MUST be made within 7 days of the auctions end (unless other arrangements have been made). Failure to do so will result in loss of the item and an unpaid bidder report filed with Ebay. 

All payments must be made through Paypal** (thanks to Ebay's micro-managing policies). Items will usually be shipped within 24 hours of payment receipt Mon-Fri).

Winners will be sent an invoice within 12 hours of the auctions end. Items are accurately described. If you have any questions please ask before you bid. If you need a detail photo, contact me with an email address and what you're looking for. Questions submitted the last day of the auction may not get answered.

Shipping Info

Albums are packed in LP mailers with at least one flat and bubblewrap. LP's are mailed outside the jackets to prevent splits (unless it's sealed). I'm willing to pack the album as heavy as you want, but there will be increased fees for the packing material and possibly postage.

NOTICE on Shipping Costs!!! - Between the past 2 USPS price increases, and the new Ebay policy charging me 9% of the shipping price, I find I must raise my S&H rates a bit on all my sales not covered by a maximun set rate (like domestic cds). I really hate to do it, but like anything else, rising costs get passed on to the consumer. I am not doing this to make extra money on the S&H. I am just trying to maintain some semblence of a profit on the items I sell. Again, my apologies.

Domestic Buyers- Looking for more protection for your purchase? Upgrade to Priority shipping. Just contact me and I can send a revised invoice. International Buyers- I'm willing to pack it as heavy as you want provided you're willing to pay the increased rates because of the weight.

Domestic Shipping -  (including military APOs) S&H is $4.00 and includes delivery confirmation. Shipped by 1st class mail. Shipping upgrades available at extra costs. Please write for quotes.

International Shipping - Shipping by insured 1st class mail to most of the world (see list below). Canada - $9.00 / Most places in the rest of the world (all countries on the list below) - $16.50.

I insure through Shipsurance to the following countries, since the PO doesn't offer that service for their 1st class packages. Because it's done outside the postal system, that cost is not reflected in the amount on the postage sticker. So no, as I have mentioned before, I'm not trying to get rich on shipping. There are costs above and beyond actual postage that are taken into account when figuring the S&H charges.

ALL items sent to a country NOT on the list above must be sent either registered or mailed by priority (whichever covers the cost of the item) so that insurance or proof of delivery can be certified.  Registered mail cost is $10.00 (+ the shipping). Priority mail is dependent on the weight (write for quote).

I know this puts a strain on the budget, and am truly sorry to have to do it. Blame it all on Paypal!!!! They insist that I be responsible for the post office's mistakes. A receipt of mailing is not good enough for them. I have to provide proof of delivery in order to protect myself against items lost in the mail. I love my overseas bidders, and thank you sincerely for supporting my auctions, but I am no longer going to foot the bill if a package gets lost or is damaged.

Shipping charges are not added to the customs value.

International Buyers – Please Note:

The Fine Print

FEEDBACK - I believe in leaving feedback on my auctions. I will gladly do so after the item has been received and accepted by the buyer. Just drop me a line that you're satisfied with the item when you get it. I can't leave feedback if I don't know that you've received your item. If there's a problem with an item, please contact me before you leave bad feedback. Non-paying bidders - A report will be filed with Ebay!

MULTIPLE ITEMS - I will do a discount for multiple items on the postage. With all the variances in postal rates and weights I can't post a definitive amount, but if you ask in advance I'll give you real close estimate. Handling charges apply to all items sold. These vary from $.75 to $1.50 an item, depending on how many items are purchased (buy more, save more).

PROMO ITEMS - Marking on promo CDs, DVDs, Tapes, and LPs vary. Some items go all out with both the item and cover marked or alternate artwork. Others can be a stock copy marked just by a defacement of the barcode (scratched through, lined through, or punched with a hole punch). Still others can have a saw cut or drill hole in them, though these can easily be confused with cut outs. I try to make note in the item description as to the particular type of markings on each promo item, but have been known to miss something on occasion. If, after reading the description, you're not sure the item is what you're looking for, please write. I ran a music store for over 16 years and have seen most, if not all, variations of promo items. Did you know that some companies even went so far as to use CD-Rs as promos? They're rare, but I've had a few.
