Hawkwind - Space Ritual
(United Artists UAD 60037/8 UK Double LP 1973)
This is a UK original Double LP pressing. It includes the rare fold-out Booklet/ insert. Only the earliest UK copies came with this.
It has a giant fold-out poster sleeve which is printed on card. It comes complete with both its original custom psychedelic orange inner sleeves. It also, as stated, comes with its original fold-out Booklet or insert. The records are pressed on thick vinyl & has 1st press A-2U/ B-2U/ A-2U/ B-2U matrix stampers. "RAYS" is etched in the dead wax on Side 1.
Fold-Out Sleeve: There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear to the spine on some areas. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear to the opposite spine too, & on the bottom edge - on some areas. There is some mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on some areas. There is a mild crease in one corner. There are no rips or tears. VG+ condition
Vinyl 1: There are two small (1 cm and 1.5 cm) hairline marks at the start, and near the start, of Side 1. These feel to the touch and cause some light or mild clicks. Please see below for a fuller audio description. It does not jump on my system. Otherwise, there are some light, mild or more moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. VG condition. The labels are in excellent condition & show light or very mild spindle wear.
The custom orange psychedelic inner sleeve is in Near Excellent condition. There is a 2 cm area of rubbing wear at the centre of the bottom edge. There is some light or very mild ringwear & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. As stated, there are some light or mild clicks at the very start of Side 1. These are caused by the mentioned hairline marks. They last for approximately 20 seconds. It does not jump or stick on my system. There are a few more light or mild clicks slightly further on too. Otherwise, It plays VG+ overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places.
Vinyl 2: There are some light, mild or more moderate sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There are about 5 light surface hairline marks. These measure from 2.5 cm to 5 cm in length. Good+ condition. The labels are in vg+ condition & show mild or more moderate spindle wear.
The custom orange psychedelic inner sleeve is in Good+ condition. There is a seam split along the entirety of the bottom edge. Otherwise, there is some light or very mild ringwear & creasing.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG+ overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places.
The Fold-Out Booklet/ Insert is in Good++ condition. It has been folded in 3 separate places. Most notably in the centre. There are 3 small stains. It is totally complete & has no tears.
I shall place the vinyl in a separate plain paper inner sleeve. This will protect the original inner sleeve from any damage during transt.
