In a constant search for interesting records, when a person is exposed to hundreds, if not thousands of records on an all but daily basis, every now and then it's possible to come across genuine rarities. Naturally, the rare ones are valuable because they almost never show up, and if they do, they are almost always reduced to nearly unplayable condition, and usually have covers that are falling apart. It's our humble opinion that he Partch Gate 5 recordings are solidly in this category. In more than two decades in the record business, our recently acquired little handful of Gate 5 LP's are the first ones we've ever seen in *any* condition.
This record has a cover that shows virtually no wear except for slightly bumped corner, lower right. However, as this appears to be a former library copy, please note what appears to be tape adhesive residue in lower right quarter, a number written small, in ink, at top right corner, as well as a couple of short, heavy lines from a black marker at upper right, no doubt concealing the name of the library. Again, please refer to listing photos for further detail. Record shows some faint sleeve scuffing and some light marks: VG+ ONLY. On these terms, satisfaction is guaranteed. NOTE: Also includes the original accompanying glossy 16p. booklet featuring black-and-white photos of the instruments designed and built by the Composer, with descriptions of each one. Shipping (in the US) is $4.00 USPS media mail or $5.50 priority mail; tracking included for either/or. Canadian buyers pay for airmail ($7). Buyers from all other countries pay for airmail; Europe, South America, Caribbean, $14; everywhere else, $15. We are always happy to combine multiple items to lower shipping costs. Optional insurance will be billed accordingly; we cannot be responsible for lost or damaged shipments that are not insured. Shipments are sent on Mondays and Thursdays. For anyone anxious about SHIPPING METHODS; our records are packed in a sleeve outside the cover to avoid seam splits in transit, with a cardboard 'stiffener' to both protect the otherwise exposed record and to reinforce the package.
