GEORGE HARRISON: MEGA RARE 'WONDERWALL' - ORIGINAL UK 1st ISSUE **MONO** APPLE LP - APCOR 1 – COMPLETE WITH INSERT! Seldom seen in stock, featured here is the MEGA SCARCE **1st UK Issue MONO** of George Harrison's 'Wonderwall' LP.
Very Briefly issued in 1968, this MONSTER RARE LP is on the Dark Green Apple Label, with 'Sold in UK' and 'Manufactured in UK' label text. The side 1 matrix is: APCOR 1A-1, and the side 2 Matrix is APCOR 1B-1, confirming it to be a 1st pressing. The side 1 stampers are: '1', 'W', and the side 2 stampers are '1', 'M'.
The Vinyl LP comes in its original Black Inner Bag and is housed in a FABULOUS full laminated sleeve with the 'MONO' wording printed on bottom right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve (see scan 5). Also included in the package is the official Apple Insert featuring a Picture of George on the front, together with song titles, and an Apple on the reverse with the Apple Records address beneath.
Both sides of the record labels are in close to mint condition - the BRIGHT and unworn record labels showing only some very faint spider marks. Both sides of the Vinyl disc are in GORGEOUS excellent plus condition - GLEAMING Vinyl, which has barely been played - SUPERB! The laminated sleeve is in FABULOUS mint minus condition - Beautiful Rich Colours and MIRROR GLOSS laminate, with CRISP spine edges and corner, showing only some slight discolouration to the white border around the front of the sleeve. The Apple insert is in fine excellent plus condition.
