Description

Absolutely immaculate and rare poster for PINK FLOYD at the CIA-UFO Club. July 28, 1967. Design by Hapshash and the Coloured Coat (Michael English and Nigel Waymouth) 30"x20" Michael English and Nigel Waymouth (founder of Carnaby Street's 'Granny Takes a Trip' boutique) formed the psychedlic graphics team 'Hapshash and the Coloured Coat' in late 1966, printed and distributed by the International Times off-shoot Osiris Visions. which folded in late 1968 when the psychedelic fashion faded. This poster was designed in July, 1967 for an early appearance of The Pink Floyd at London's legendary and shortlived underground club, UFO, held late Friday nights in a basement Irish dance hall, "The Blarney Club", at 31 Tottenham Court Road.
