Up for auction is a copy of Sterling #201 78 RPM Single of Hank Williams first Sterling pressing CALLING YOU / NEVER AGAIN(Will I Knock at Your Door) . As far as I can find out this recording was made in 1946 at the Sterling Studio in New York. I am far from an expert on grading these records but based on a web site I found the record seems to grade G+. I played the record on my Panasonic belt drive turntable which has a tracking weight of about 1/2 ounce and it played with no skips on either side. There is surface noise throughout and a few clicks and pops but no skips. I had to play it at 45 RPM because my turntable doesn't have a 78 speed so the sound was distorted but the music is there with no skips. There are no chips or cracks in the record but there are scratches on the surface. I'm pretty good at packing fragile items so this very fragile record will not be broken in shipping. However, I will require insurance so don't pay for the item before I send an invoice which will include insurance cost.
Insurance is at the option of the buyer unless the final auction value exceeds $50.00. On items over $50.00 insurance is required. Please wait for an invoice before paying for the item. If insurance is declined the buyer assumes the risk for breakage or loss in transit. I charge $2.50 handling on all items..
!!!!!!ATTENTION INTERNATIONAL (NON-U.S) BIDDERS!!!!!!
Due to the very high international (NON U.S.) shipping rates on heavy items please be aware that IF YOU BID ON AN ITEM YOU ARE AGREEING TO PAY THE POSTAGE REGARDLESS OF THE COST. Please wait for an invoice before paying for an item that will be shipped internationally. I charge actual postage cost plus a $2.50 handling fee on most items.
INSURANCE DISCLAIMER:
Since USPS does not allow insurance on most packages sent out of the country, I can not be held responsible for lost packages. I will always get a Certificate of Mailing as proof that the item was mailed but that is the best I can do.
