Just listened to both sides of the whole album with headphones on and it plays smooth. Amazing condition and quality. Shiny vinyl. Difficult to find this rare vintage record in such great condition. Jacket Grade VG+ = Shiny, clean, well maintained. No staining. No writing. 3 inches of clear tape to protect minor seem split on top of jacket. Has been kept in plastic. Personal collection. A very clean jacket for a 60 year old album. (see pictures)

Roulette was formed by Morris Levy, George Goldner, Joe Kolsky and Phil Khals in New York during 1956, with producers Hugo Peretti and Luigi Creatore as its A&R men. Roulette also had a large jazz roster (built up by recording jazz musicians who frequented Levy's Birdland jazz club).

Monday Night At Birdland, came out of a series of Monday night jam sessions at the famous New York jazz club. This exciting album captured the red hot energy and spontaneity of these sessions at the height of the hard bop era.

Recorded live at Birdland, New York, April 21, 1958.
