Description
This is the original deep-groove RVG-stamped “P”-pressing of Hank Mobley “Peckin’ Time” on the West 63rd St. (no “Inc”, no “R”) labels of BLP 1574. The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a nice luster; perhaps played once or twice. The laminated cover has the West 63rd St., New York 23 address; the front is bright and clean, showing the adhesive from the underlying tape reinforcements at the center of the top and bottom seams; the back slick shows light shelf wear, particularly at the center. Personnel include Lee Morgan, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers, and Charlie Persip.
