Description
This is an oddity: a deep groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Hank Mobley “Quintet” on the New York 23 labels of Blue Note BLP 1550. The beaded rim playing surface is in near-new condition, with a beautiful luster; perhaps played once. Besides the presence of the beaded rim - when all other details are consistent with an original pressing - is the laminated cover with a West 61st address. The cover is in virtually new condition, immaculate in every respect, with sharp corners and unworn seams. The previous owner did not switch covers - the record was purchased new and was actually issued this way. Personnel include Art Farmer, Horace Silver, Doug Watkins, and Art Blakey. $500.00
