Description

Up for sale is a copy of Hank Mobley's 1961 album "Workout" issued on Blue Note Records. Catalogue number BLP 4080. This is a 1963 mono pressing, however with the New York USA labels. RVG and the "Ear" mark appear in the dead wax. This is not a Liberty Records reissue. Vinyl is VG/VG- with some surface wear in some areas of the vinyl. Though upon playback, there is not any major static or pops. Sounds really very good. Played back with an Ortofon MC 10 Super cartridge. Mastered under the care of the legendary Rudy Van Gelder. Cover is G+/VG- with some cover wear but not that bad. The plastic lamination (Clarifoil) is coming apart from the left hand edge near the spine. It has not broken through, however. It looks like a "bubble" on the left hand edge. The back cover slick is relatively clean with little wear. There is a name written in ink in the centre liner note column. On the lower right hand corner on the back cover, a piece of the slick is "chipping" away. There are some brown spot stains here and there. (see pictures) The spine is in pretty good shape and is completely readable. There are no splits visible. Corner dents are present but minimal. Comes with original inner sleeve. Item shipped in a carboard cover with cardboard pads for extra protection. Also comes in a brand new plastic sleeve and a Discwasher inner sleeve. Record will be separated from the cover to prevent splits. Shipped through the care of the United States Postal Service. Insurance availible upon request. PayPal preferred.
