Description

This is a very lightly played original and extremely rare US mono pressing of Lee Morgan with Hank Mobley, Kenny Rodger, Horace Silver, Paul Chambers and Charlie Persip. Released in 1957. this is in Excellent condition.  There is not a reissue.  This is the collectors copy!

BLP 4058

43 West 63rd on Labels and Jacket.

Heavy vinyl with grooved label.

RVG with the EAR in dead wax on both sides.

Vinyl:  VG+

Very clean with both sides showing excellent gloss.  No scratches but does have several very, very light hairlines on side two, track one.  In everyday light the vinyl looks EX+.  Under grading light there are a few scattered light surface handling - sleeve marks on both sides.  Nothing that would appear to threaten play.  ORIGINAL MONOd on both sides that become apparent under tilt.  The owner took very good care of his jazz collection.

Labels:  VG+

Some light spindle marks on both sides.  Not visible without tilting.

Jacket:  EX

Excellent.  Check the photos.  What the photos can't show is a light abrasion on the lower and top left  corners, no splits scraps or tears.  Very solid and crisp laminated jacket

I'll be shipping double boxed with a new white LP mailer with extra cardboard, appropriate padding for the thickness of the record and packed tight on the interior.  The vinyl will be outside the sleeve and inside a new audiophile approved outer sleeve.

Look for my other items from this same collection this week.  They are all as outstanding as this one.

I grade records visually.  I no longer have a vinyl rig so I do not pay them before hand. If it is from my original collection and I have played it before, I will note my recollections.

International bidders are welcome.
