NOTE : All LP’s have been cleaned and played through both sides (except where Mint) to determine an accurate grading as possible. If anything I have graded this album on the safe side as collectors will always have slightly different interpretations on quality. A terrific original and also very scarce 1st UK pressing of this brilliant 1974 album from Hackensack were considered one of the heaviest live bands of their day.
Despite forming 5 years earlier (1969) this was their only venture to the studio amongst their 270+ gigs which assured them a loyal following but simply not big enough to provide a sustainable income. When the band split Ray Majors (guitar, vocals, 1971-74) joined British Lions and Nicky Moore (vocals, keyboards) formed a band called Tiger before finding some success with first Samson and then Mammoth. Simon Fox (drums) joined up with Be Bop Deluxe. What became of Stu Mills (bass) is not certain.
The bands sound was a heavy blues/rock mix and not unlike early Free ... some unbelievable wah-guitar soloing here as well.
This original 1st UK Polydor issue rarely turns up nowadays.

Vinyl : Only lightly played. Tracks along superbly with no pops. skips or background noise. Clean A-side (Rated EX+) with a light mark across Track 3 (Northern Girl) on B-side (Rated EX). An excellent copy that is sure to please.
Labels : Clean.
Inner Sleeve : Near New
Sleeve : original laminated cover in excellent condition. No writing. No splits. No ring-wear. No creasing and the spine is intact. A little edge-wear at corners that can be forgiven and still quite impressive overall.
