  Item Description You are looking at an authentic and highly desirable vinyl Lp record album on quality vinyl at 33 1/3 rpm and is not to be missed!  Here we have an outstanding and highly collectible record.  This is a Mercury Living Presence Stereo (LPS) record original. Mercury LPS records are some of the very best sounding classical records ever made with many of these appearing on Harry Pearson's The Absolute Sound (TAS) list.  These Mercury records can rival anything ever made by any other classical record label in history.  

This is Mercury Living Presence Stereo SR 90172 Copland conducted by Antal Dorati.  Record has early RFR-1/RFR-1 Mercury stampers.  Early Colorback (CB) jacket.  Has an original and correct Mercury inner sleeve.  Record play grades as beautiful near mint minus minus in condition.  One of the greatest Mercuries. This record is on HP's TAS list because it sound stellar!

All records we sell are graded according to a quality scale to give you a better understanding of their condition. This is a long-standing practice of used record vendors and most of these grades are standard and universally understood. However, our scale is modified slightly to match our standards so please read through the following descriptions before contacting us or purchasing one of our records.

MINT or M:

Absolutely perfect in every way. These records are still sealed and therefore have never been played. May have a tear or two in the shrink wrap and corners may be bent.

NEAR MINT or M-:

A nearly perfect record. The record shows no obvious signs of wear and has no more than the most minor defects. For example records may have almost invisible ring wear or other signs of slight handling. A Near Mint condition record can have some scuffs and a few very small scratches. However, these should not detract from the listening experience in any noticeable way.

EXCELLENT or EX or VG++:

An intermediary grade between Near Mint and Very Good Plus. Records graded as Excellent can have more scuffing and more small scratches. Some of these scratches may affect the listening experience slightly.

VERY GOOD PLUS or VG+:

A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have scuffs or light scratches that may affect one's listening experience . Slight warps that do not affect the sound may also be present. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. The center hole will not have been misshapen by repeated play. The cover may have slight signs of wear and an indentation or corner wear.

VERY GOOD or VG:

Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.

GOOD or G:

Good does not mean good! We rarely will sell a record in this condition unless it is extremely rare or highly collectable. A record in Good condition can be put onto a turntable and will not play through without skipping. It will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear (on a styrene record, the groove will be starting to turn white). A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object. If it's something you have been seeking for years, and the price is right, get it...but keep looking to upgrade.

  Media Mail or Priority Mail are recommended for buyers located in the United States and are provided as shipping options during checkout.

• Canada

  Shipping costs start around $11.00 US for the first single LP. For each additional LP this cost increases by about $2.00 US.

• Italy

  We DO NOT ship to Italy due to an unusually high number of packages which disappeared before reaching their buyers. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

• International

  USPS First Class International and USPS Priority Mail are the shipping methods we offer for reaching our international buyers. Costs for First Class start at about $18.00 for the first single LP and for each additional LP increases by roughly $4.00 up to a maximum of 4 lbs (1.8 kg). However, if the package weight exceeds 4 lbs USPS Priority Mail is the only option.

Please note that although eBay has a shipping calculator, for international fees its values are incorrect.  The actual shipping cost will be greatly reduced from eBay's estimate so please take this under consideration.  For most locations around the globe the first record will cost around $18.00 followed by about $4.00 for each additional record up to 4 pounds (about 5 Lps).  Over 4 pounds must be shipped by USPS Priority Mail. Box sets, double and triple Lps cost extra to ship.
