HOTT ROXX - Point Blank 1987  (BROAD HORIZONS RECORDS   STEREO)  ORIGINAL US PRESSING!! PRIVATE PRESSING!!

Frustrated with the inability to find a label to back them, Bob Lung and Jack Broad created Broad Horizon Records and released the E.P. themselves - they were 17 years old.

While the disc enjoyed local success & led to meetings with Profile Records in NYC and a showcase at Bogart's, the group disbanded shortly after to pursue other interests.

I was given two EP's after Hott Roxx disbanded (both without inserts) and I am offering one one Ebay!  Ultra rare Heavy Metal Extended Play from Ohio that escapes the trappings of "hair metal" and goes for the balls!!  Think early METALLICA, early era JUDAS PRIEST and early 80's New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) and you got the jest.  I have provided samples from MY own EP so that this stays unplayed!!  I also found a site that streams 3 of the 4 songs for listeners/bidders to get the idea of what talented 17-year old Metal Heads from Ohio sound like!!

This one rarely comes around!  If you are a fan and collector of HEAVY METAL, then you MUST not miss this!!

CONSERVATIVE GRADE:  RECORD : 9 (Mint Minus)  Ultra glossy with only the scant faint of marking when the EP was inserted into the paper sleeve for the first time!!  Picture Sleeve shows slight signs of handling on the corners, but overall is strong!!

MY GRADING SYSTEM IS :

I work on the 10 point grading system (see below).

There will be a blue number representing shape besides the listing/Year in blue.   (Ex: 1967  7/8)

All gradings are visual and I only play records in special situations ......

10 : MINT (still sealed (LP's only) or unplayed (shown by zero spindle wear).  PERFECT CONDITION!!!)

9 : NEAR MINT/M- (opened LP or slight handling wear.  ALMOST PERFECT BUT NOT...)

8 : EX++ (Slight wear(ring/seam), slight paper scuffs that do not effect play and little to no spindle wear)

7 : VG++  (slight needle wear/slight scuffs/slight scratches/slight cover discoloration and or seam wear).  Small seam splits starting.  Some slight ticks that don't take away from the listening experience.

6 : VG+ (slight needle wear/mild scuffs/ mild scratches/ mild cover discoloration and or seam wear).

Plays with slightly noticeable ticks but still enjoyable!!)

5 : VG (Needle wear/scuffs/scratches/cover discoloration and or seam wear).

Plays with noticeable ticks but OK!!)

4 : G (OK LP.  Listed as a play copy until a clean one comes)

3 : FAIR (Seam splits/heavy writing on cover/scratched and scuffed ... BUT STILL PLAYS but sound like bacon sizzling)

2 : POOR -> Really trashed (Only listed if it is super super rare and can fill a void.  $500 record or more.  Could be cracked but plays.)

1 : Hurts to look at (Should be thrown away or given to Goodwill.  "Used for target practice"/Original owner should be ashamed!!).

These records will not be sold.  They will be used for landfill.
