Description

Absolutely beautiful copy of the 1964 first pressing of the Horace Silver Quintet's Song for my Father LP on Blue Note stereo ST-84185. The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays flawlessly and just beautifully. There are some of those light spots and streaks that develop over time from the acids in the paper sleeve, but it is NOT damage at all. Some of you might say that drops the condition to E, but I contend it has nothing to do with the condition. This copy is nearly perfect. I have never seen such a beautiful one. Really an unbelievable pleasure to hear a near-mint original copy. Wow...  the cover has some wear on the spine, at the upper left corner, where it is fraying a little, and at the center where the disc touches the edge there is quite a bit of fraying, the beginnings of a split. A touch of lighter wear at the lower left corner. But aside from the spine the rest of the cover is nearly immaculate. No ringwear, even. Comes with a "25 Years Blue Note" inner sleeve. This is a truly gorgeous, top, top copy. Hard to beat.
