HORACE SILVER QUINTET, Silver’s Blue – Epic LN 3326

This is an original 1956 Deep Groove mono pressing. Here’s another one we don’t see too often and an outstanding group of jazz giants. With Horace Silver on Piano are Hank Mobley on Tenor, Donald Byrd on Trumpet, Doug Watkins on Bass, Art Taylor on Drums, with Joe Gordon & Kenny Clarke substituting on 2 tracks.

The tunes are: Solver’s Blue, To beat or not to beat, How long has this been going on, I’ll know, Shoutin’ out, Hank’s tune, & The night has a thousand eyes

VINYL is VG to VG+, nice and shiny, and it plays near perfect. I heard occasional very soft surface noise on some of the tracks.

COVER has surface wear, some fading and stains on the back, and tape on all 3 sides (yeah, that’s masking tape on the spine). Just to be conservative I’ll grade it VG-. It may not be the best cover but the record is excellent.

PAYMENT – I prefer Money Orders but PayPal is OK too. Payment must be received within 7 days after the close of auction. If you’re unable to pay on time, don’t bid.

U.S. SHIPPING – Shipping is $4 for the 1st LP, the 2nd LP ships FREE, and then add $1 for each other within 7 days. I always combine your wins to save on shipping costs. I sell records, I’m not trying to make money shipping packages. Insurance is recommended, I can’t be responsible once the package has shipped.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
To EUROPE the first LP is $14, then add $2.50 for each other (up to 4 pounds or 2 kilos) within 7 days.
To ASIA the first LP is $15, then add $3.00 for each other (up to 4 pounds or 2 kilos) within 7 days. Surface mail to Europe and Asia is available for half the price but it can take weeks to arrive and not recommended.
