  HORACE SILVER QUINTET

Horace-Scope

  Blue Note 4042 scarce '66 press of '60 MONO LP. Comes with 27 Years inner sleeve. 'RVG' stamped. No deep groove or  'ear' stamps. Note: according to the London Jazz Collector web site ALL Blue Note pressings prior to '66 have the Plastilyte 'ear' stamp -BUT- this is a W63rd label ('58-'62). How could a non-ear press from '66 have this label? There are 'New York' labels ('62-'66) that have no 'ear' stamp, but did they still have labels from 6 years prior laying around for this? I'm stumped.

Jacket Grade   VG++ to NM- Little to no wear to cover art. No splits. 
  
Record Grade: Very clean VG++ to NM- Little to no visible play wear. A few faint sleeve and spindle marks.
