Description
The record you are viewing is part of a collection acquired through a successful auction bid. The product purchased is from a deceased record store owner whose doors closed circa 1970, having made a run of it during the 60's. An incredibly large volume of LPs remained, many in new (sealed) or pristine condition and properly stored. These will comprise the bulk of offerings I will be posting on eBay. With a vast and well preserved inventory, it will take time to sift through and uncover the many hidden gems that await. My goal is to present these finds to eBay buyers in a timely and systematic manner. I am aware finds of this nature are indeed rare, but the fact is, the records I will be listing have sat undisturbed for over 40 years waiting to be rediscovered, shared and enjoyed. I hope you will find some items you've been wanting and can be part of, what I feel, is an historical find. All items kept in smoke-free, pet-free environment.
In Shrink MONO Blue Note Microgroove vinyl LP 4220 (Van Gelder stamped in dead wax, no 'ear') W. 61st St NYC address - released 1965
NM vinyl shows no play or handling marks, though may have been played once prior. There is a superficial mark on track 3 side one that displayed no audible effect during one test play on NAD C555 turntable. The overall sound is excellent with great presence and luminous analogue sound. A superior pressing and RVG recording. The sturdy in-shrink cover is in excellent condition and has straight spine and seams with two small upper corner stubs. Virtually no shelf wear. 2" paper crease mark lower right front corner with no bending to cover. Rear panel bone white except throat edge discoloration from open shrink, and is consistent with age.
Flat rate Canada US$14.00 / Elsewhere US$19.00 - Will combine shipping.
